Southern Caribbean Diving

Hi! We will be on the Nov. 8 Caribbean Princess doing a southern carib for the first time. Any recommendations on how to maximize our time so we can dive in and still have the chance to see the top-side? Port times are generally all day except two days, which are shorter and I would imagine we'd do one or the other those days depending on your tips. :)

 

The ports we want to dive are St. Thomas, Dominica, & Bonaire. We also go to Grenada (any diving here?) and Aruba (any diving here either?)

 

Any suggestions on how to plan our day and dives and who to use at each port is greatly appreciated!

If you plan to do some diving in any of these ports, your day will be filled. Diving will be available in all ports through the ship. In St-Thomas, you will be diving with Underater Safaris. Good Operator, nice boats. In dominica. you dive near the ship. Can't remember the name of the dive shop but it is good diving and thay are also a great operator. Grenada is also good. Can't remember the name of the dive shop again, but Mick is your owner and runs a good operation. In Aruba, it is Red Sail Sports and you will dive the Antilla and the Pedernales. 2 good dives but can be challenging if the seas are rough. In Bonaire, you can go to the Divi which is right beside the ship and do a shore dive, Great wall to dive on and you do that on your own or go with the ship's tour. Princess uses Yellow Submarine dive shop in Bonaire. You only have time for 1 dive if I remember correctly. You are hitting very good ports for diving. I don't know if you are shoppers or not, but if you are, St.Thomas is your shopping port. You may still have time to dive and shop depending how long you are in port.

Thanks for the great tips! We almost need a 7-day to dive and a 7-day to explore the top-side! Wish that would work for us but not yet! :-)
