Ladies evening dress

My DW asked me if nice Capri's are considered OK in the evening dining rooms on the PGC? Or, are dresses or slacks required? I think the general feeling I get is that tastefully dressed is actually more an issue than certain dress requirements. Also, do men wear Polo type shirts or do they require something more dressy? thanks to all who reply.

There's another thread nearby on polo shirts--Regent old rules were "no", but this was broken frequently on all ships, especially the PG. Our friend wore them several nights on our trip in 2008 (nice ones.)

As for capris, again, nice ones, with a nice top and cute sandals. And only on the ladies--no cargo pants for guys.

I wore capris a few nights with different tops and didn't feel out of place at all. The capris were white and I put on a pair of heels along with a tropical top and felt right in place! For the Captains dinner I wore a long black dress. I had a couple of other dresses as well.

I saw lots of capris, pants suits, dresses, skirts, just about everything you can think of. No shorts or jeans...
