What's the nearest Boston "neighbourhood" to the Cruise ship pier

I need to book a hotel for a cruise out of Boston. Which neighbourhood or district is closest to the pier? Thanks.

The cruise terminal is in South Boston, bordering on the Seaport District. As far as I know, there are no hotels in South Boston near the pier. The closest hotels are in the Seaport District.

The closest hotel would be the Seaport Hotel. Very nice. You can probably get a room for about $150 (I'm guessing). Other than that, the closest is anything on the waterfront...The Harbor Hotel, Marriott Longwharf, the Doubletree, Wyndham...try Expedia. Stick with Waterfront and the Financial District.
