Sailing Excursions

Dreps

Recommended Posts

We are in the planning stages for our 11-day Cook Island cruise in August. We've been on the PG twice before (when it was Radisson/Regent). We are fairly familiar with most of the excursions mentioned. However, in the past we were usually able to find one or two involving sailing with a small group of fellow passengers (either with or without snorkeling). When I asked PG cruises about this, I didn't get very far. I admit, I have not thoroughly studied each PG excursion yet.

Does anyone have any recommendations for excursions involving sailing around any of the islands? I remember one of the sailing excursions that we did was in the late afternoon, and we actually sailed around the ship. It was wonderful. (To clarify, I am not asking for excursions in which we do the sailing, although on one occasion, I remember the captain let interested participants take the wheel.) Thanks for any help.

There used to be a bora bora cat sail in the evening.

Next year we will be doing the all day cat sail to Tetiaroa and back from Tahiti pre cruise.

Dreps why don't you come for the repeaters cruise next year?

We also got hooked on the PG and FP under Regent.

Thanks for the information.

We are part of a large group that our cruise agent is escorting. We've never been to FP at that time of year (only in February), so we are really looking forward to this particular cruise.

I've been looking into these too. In the past David did a great sail in Raiatea, sounds like the one you did, and we've done a catamaran sail/snorkel in Moorea, and our favourite--a sunset sail in Moorea. Haven't really looked hard yet to find something like this. But interested to see what comes up (we're booked on the repeater's cruise.)

Dreps, if you have a group, perhaps you can do a charter!
