e050377 Posted August 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2008 We were wondering what a taxi would cost from the cruise terminal to Quincy Market. There are 4 of us and trying to decide if that is the better way to go vs the shuttle for 12/pp. Also will taxi's be available at the terminal? 138east Posted August 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2008 http://boston.taxiwiz.com/ It says about $6 plus tip. Even if it's $12, it's still a good deal for 4 people. I don't know if taxis are available at the terminal. There's also the Silver Line to South Station, change to the Red Line two stops to Park St., change to the Green Line two stops to Government Center - $2 per person. At Park St. you can walk along Boston Common down to the Quincy Market area. Download a good map of downtown Boston - it's really walkable and is all very safe. The Freedom Trail walking tour is very popular because it is very doable - people walk everywhere in the downtown area.
