  1. If you are referring to responses to your post, note that you mentioned four distinct things in that post: 1. "I would love to eat at the people's home who say the food has gone downhill." 2. "The food is tasting pretty good right now." 3. "Not all the food is seasoned to my taste but is still pretty good." 4. "Don't have to cook it, serve it or clean up, makes it taste better" Obviously there's no way of knowing which of those things people are agreeing/disagreeing with. On the other hand, 6 people agreed with me when I posed this question: "What does people's food at home have to do with RC's food going downhill?" Anyway, you still haven't explained to us how what people eat at home has to do with a trend in RC's food quality.
  2. That's not the issue. This discussion isn't about whether RC's food is simply good or not. It's about a trend of it becoming worse over the last few years. That trend has absolutely nothing to do with what people eat at home. Judging by the responses to your original comment about it being related to what people eat at home, I'm not the only one that feels that way.
  3. What does people's food at home have to do with RC's food going downhill?
  4. I'm fairly certain that all cruisers that were supposed to stop at Labadee got another sea day or were sent to another island. Really not sure what you are asking.
  5. While that is no doubt good advice when possible, it's not always possible or desirable. Sometimes the other parts of the vacation are other cruises, with perhaps only one or two nights between them, which makes it a challenge to wash and dry clothes. It's much easier to do so during a cruise because there are typically more consecutive nights on a cruise, and because it's a lot easier to put a load of clothes in the machine, grab something to eat or drink, come back to the machine, etc. As far as using Airbnb's, I'm also somewhat hesitant to use those in other countries. I prefer to use hotels. Note that I'm not trying to say that everyone should wash clothes during a cruise. Of course not. I'm just trying to explain to those that say basically, "don't wash clothes, you're on vacation" that there are a lot of factors to consider.
  6. Because sometimes the cruise is but a small part of a much longer vacation where it is impractical to carry enough clean clothes for the whole time.
  7. Gotcha. For me, it's neither of those things. It's that I take long trips, often to hot places where it would be nice (and convenient) to be able to wash clothes on a cruise ship, preferably not by hand.
  8. How does a luggage tracking device help with doing laundry?
  9. Sometimes the cruise is just a small part of a much longer trip so bringing an extra piece of luggage doesn't solve the problem.
  10. It's a shame we have to pay extra for decent ice cream.
  11. RC has some of the most tasteless ice cream I've ever eaten.
  12. I wonder why that's not an issue on other cruise lines that do have self-service laundry.
  13. LOL "safety concerns". Apparently Princess and Carnival and Disney and I'm sure others don't have those same "safety concerns". I'm guessing they meant "profit concerns".
  14. Would you be checking luggage at the airport? Do you have TSA precheck? What day of the week would this be? What time is the ship scheduled to dock?
