  1. This is why I wouldn't bid on an upgrade. I would just book the room that I want. Part of the reason there were certain rooms available is that no one has booked them. Sometimes that is because they are in a undesirable location.
  2. We are on the Meraviglia in Sept and will miss the daily high tea we had on our Northern Europe cruise last month. We very much enjoyed the high tea daily.
  3. Yes, I am not sure what scones etc they might have but you can ask
  4. We were on the Euribia out of Southampton and the currency was Euros. And you are 100% correct their exchange rate was so bad. I just used my credit card as the rate was so good. We did tip both Euros and dollars.
  5. If the cabin you want is available, I'd say book it. YC rooms disappear quickly.
  6. Was the director Maria? She was very good on the Seaside in October.
  7. Our butler offered to unpack and said we did not need to be there. We politely declined. Our butler also was so attentive and asking us if we wanted certain things, This was most recently on the Euribia.
  8. We just had Putu as our Butler on the Euribia. She was fantastic. Our Asst was Babu, such a sweet guy. We had Teo and Devi as servers and they too were excellent.
  9. As an aside, it was so nice to have High Tea offered and served each day. That is one thing we missed on the USA YC cruises recently.
  10. This was not what we were told on the Euribia last week when we boarded the YC. They specifically said that you no longer pay just the difference. It is the whole charge plus the SC. I never had it happen so I am not sure if they were just confused.
  11. I read so much on here, I might have missed something but something last week on my Northern Europe cruise on the Euribia one thing we were told is that when getting a drink outside of the YC if it was over the maximum drink allowance you would have to pay the full cost not just the difference. I swear I read at some point at least in the USA it was just the difference. Was I wrong? It never happened but I didn't know if it was a new policy or I was just misremembering something.
  12. The casino department used to have a very nice sheet that told you exactly what the upgrade costs were to each level. I feel the value is there most of the time to do the upgrade if you want the YC. It is always wise to look at booking it without the free voucher and see if it makes sense for you. They also allow you to combine certificates with another in the room. Also, most of the time casino free bookings do not get the email to bid on an upgrade from my experience.
  13. The rate is flat whether it is 7 - 10 days.
