  1. Would you happen to remember what the cabin number was of the one “that was made up”? We’ve booked 3 cabana cabins on deck 10 with family and know that at least one of the ones on either side of us has a connecting door. My thought was that the connection might be through the cabana, or balcony. I would be happier with one that has a connecting door inside the stateroom so our 4 & 6yr old grandsons can come and go from our room without having to go out on the balcony.
  2. Let’s get you to 1000! I’m yet to chime in and tell you how much I’m loving this thread. I must check it a dozen times a day for updates. Would you mind staying on the ship for the next sailing so we can continue the conversation?
  3. @Ceilidh1 I’m not usually into martini’s, but I ordered an Espresso Martini (typically Vodka, Kahlúa, espresso coffee and simple syrup) at the Wheelhouse Pub before dinner yesterday. I had them sub tequila for the vodka and holy moly, was it ever good!! At $15.00, it’s included with the premium package. I’m going to have to watch myself with that beverage because it’s so yummy, I could easily get carried away and drink it all day every day.
  4. Posted this query on another thread, but thought I would try this one as well … We’re traveling with our disabled son on this sailing and are wondering if anyone has experience with getting a heavy (64 pound) piece of equipment (manual patient lift) on board? Ideally, we would like to leave it curb side, with a porter, and have them hand deliver it to his cabin, so it’s in there when he arrives. Our biggest concern is that if we drop it off with our luggage, it might not arrive until much later in theday/evening.
  5. @_rusty_shackleford thanks for your detailed onboard review! We’re sailing on the Royal in a few weeks … September 17th; Alaska round trip out of Vancouver. I appreciate you taking the time to satisfy our curiosity about how things are going in this new (after the pause) season of cruising. You hit almost all of the points I’ve been wondering/feeling anxious about. The current mask mandate (I’ll make sure to pack some), and whether the ship is operating at full capacity. I’m glad she’s not because crowds still freak me out a bit. Vancouver is our home port. We’ve sailed out of there often and have had both good and not so good experiences with embarkation. Glad to hear things went smoothly for you. We are trying the Princess Plus package for the first time, and have a reservation at the Crown Grill as well. I’m curious about the entertainment and daily activities, as there’s not much listed in the Medallion App yet. Mostly I get messages to check back closer to the cruise date. I’m looking forward to more ‘Live From’ reviews from you, @ rheathslc and others who are currently sailing on the Royal Princess. Enjoy your Cruise!
