wolfgangsloan Posted February 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2015 We've got a Canada cruise leaving out of Montreal in October. Anyone know of a nice, quiet dinner restaurant. We like fine dining and a good bottle of wine. Thanks in advance.

Rare martincath Posted February 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Try Toqué! if you're downtown; very classy, excellent food. If you can live without the 'quiet' part of your description though you'll have access to many more Montreal options - in my view the best food in Montreal is found in more 'busy bistro' places than super-formal establishments. Every time we go there, the first meal we book is at Au Pied de Cochon - check Google, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Chow etc, to see if you could tolerate the vibe because if you can you will have one of the most gluttonous, over-the-top, stomach & taste-bud satisfying experiences of your life. RG306 Posted February 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2015 We had an amazing meal and some great wine at a little restaurant called les deux singes de montarvie. I would highly recommend it.
PamJack Posted May 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 21, 2015 Gibby's in Old Montreal--great food, great ambiance. It is pricey though.
SMSACE6 Posted May 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) I recommend Jardin Nelson, Old Montreal. Harlow is good too, a little more upscale. same area, but I still prefer Jardin Nelson. Edited May 21, 2015 by SMSACE6
