Rare alrichards4003 Posted August 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2015 When we had the Cheers program on the Carnival Breeze out of Miami we were charged sales tax 7% until we were a certain distance from Miami.
LrgPizza Posted August 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) There is no "beverage tax". You are talking about sales tax. Whatever the Florida sales tax is, you will be charged that on any drinks purchased while in port before you sail. Except sometimes the bartenders forget to ring in the tax. If you have 3 drinks before you sail, you might owe a dollar. Edited August 17, 2015 by LrgPizza

Either way taxes are taxes, whatever you call them.
