silverquad Posted February 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2009 We are booked on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore in April headed for the Bahamas. This is our first trip to the Bahamas. Does anyone know what the water temperatures are like for snorkeling in April? Thanks
cruisinlarge Posted February 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2009 ifyou are from northern waters you will find it refreshing , I have sailed in april and I'd guess it was about 70-72 degrees , i know that sounds warm to some people but if you live in Fl as I do that is in fact cool to most of us < I like about 78 or higher. Bermuda C Posted February 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2009 I think you'll be fine. We were in Nassau last month (January) and I got in the water. It was a little chilly at first, but we got used to it. The air temperature was only 76. By April you will have average temps well into the 80's. pe4all Posted February 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2009 We went in April once, and the water was wonderful! Did the Carnival excursion to Blackbeard's island, and played with the stingrays, and swam on the beach - water was great - seemed warm to us!
