tntinftw Posted July 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2015 For those who have sailed out of the Northeast to the Caribbean in past Novembers, in your experience, how long does it take before it gets warm enough to hang out at the pools and decks? I assume not the first sea day. Perhaps the second? Thanks in advance!
Rare mking8288 Posted July 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Early November out of NYC - weather forecast for 2016 ?? - hmmm, okay - for southerner flying north to go south to Carib. - it could feel chilly. For us, it's fine - done that & we have had early snow but generally temp's in the 40's or 50's - usually by Day 2 (first full Sea Day) afternoon - the brave souls will be out on the pool deck for sunbathing & in the hot tubs, and, playing in heated pool. Have your towel & fleece jacket/warmer clothes to dry & put on once you are out of the water ... you should be just fine (unless there's an unusual cold front system along the East Coast, as the ship will be southbound past & far off the coast of Maryland/Virginia & maybe already into the Carolinas. Folks have different expectations of what's warm enough but it's reasonable to say that there will be souls outdoors enjoying the fine weather by mid/late afternoon (did a quick lookup for answers, OP's ship should have heated pool(s) - correct ??) Otherwise, expect a very busy pool & outdoor crowd by the morning of Sea Day #2 as the ship continue to sail further south into warmer weather. Each & every time we walked past the Splendor's pool deck, we see folks in the hot tubs - regardless of the weather, as long as it's not roped off or closed for safety reasons due to rough seas, etc.
