flight out of new orleans

What do you guys/gals think the earliest a flight should be booked leaving New Orleans after a cruise? Only direct flight I can find coming back home would leave the airport at 11:25 and didn't know if that was to early of a flight to get off the boat, get a cab, and hurry to the airport.

The Carnival website recommends 11:30am as their 'earliest flight'. I think you would be just fine. Airport is close- not like Galveston/Hobby or Port Canaveral/Orlando.
