San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

We;re doing tours to Granada going East and Managua coming back but are curious if there is anything close to the ship to do upon our return (it's a tender port) Shopping etc~~Thanx

It's a pretty sleepy place. It doesn't have any of the touristy, Caribbean port style development, it's a popular surfer spot:

We have totally enjoyed our port stops there. They are so friendly and honestly love having cruise ships there. Even the armed security kept saying over and over to come back because they would will keep us safe.

Once, we just walked (very close) to the beach/bar area there and enjoyed sitting at a bar overlooking the beach and chatting with others.

It is our favorite port stop in that part of the world. :)
