Cocoa Beach: Going for a Run?

We're staying at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral before our cruise in March. We've never been to Cocoa Beach before. Is there a path along the beach like there is in South Beach and Hollywood Beach that is a stable running surface? I'll be looking to get in a 6+ mile run before we leave. I can't tell from the Google Maps satellite view if there is any kind of path. Thanks in advance for any input!

No boardwalk unfortunately but I can think of two options:

1. At low tide the sand surface near the tide line is very firm and many folks run or bike at that time. So you can plan your run according to the tides! You can run all the way north to Jetty Park (4 miles) and return. At high tide the line forces you to walk/run on soft sand which is not so pleasant.

2. Very nice sidewalks and/or bike lines! From your hotel you can run north along Ocean Beach Blvd for about 2.5 miles then return for a 5 miler. You will find many runners/walkers/bikers on this route and not much vehicle traffic.
