Alicante

Does anyone know how close the boat docks to the town. We are thinking of walking to the old town/castle in the morning, going back to the ship for lunch and then going to the beach in the afternoon. Feasible?

I am no help but would like to know as Alicante is one of the ports we are going to as well.

I have downloaded some walking tours but we have a full day and thought some time at the beach might work.

Hello. We live about 40 minutes from Alicante and have visited with some friends when they arrived by cruise ship. The ship will usually put on a shuttle to drop you outside the port gates. From there it is very walkable to both the beach and to the old quarter which is pleasant to walk around. Hope this helps.

Happy cruising.
