Where to stay?

We are going on the carnival dream in October. We are leaving from New Orleans. Where can we stay that has transportation to and from the port?

The Hampton Inn right across from the terminal is the only hotel with a free shuttle.

None of the other hotels in New Orleans have free shuttles to the port. A few seem to be in walking distance.

The Hilton Riverside is named most often for folks who want to just walk there. We are staying at the Embassy Suites/Loft which also seems to be in walking distance. IF it rains we'll take a taxi.

If you google "New Orleans Cruise Hotel shuttle package" there will come up with some hotels that do provide shuttle service as part of a package but be sure to call and confirm that. Also many offer to take you to the port the morning after your stay but will not pick you up on return. Some are not "in" New Orleans but on outskirts so check that too.
