We would probably opt for http://www.drydockny.com ..although this is not within ez walking distance of the port. If in a taxi or Uber you could certainly have them stop. Keep in mind that taking liquor on cruise ships is generally a no-no. I think this particular liquor/wine store (and its a pretty decent place) does not open until noon on most days.

I noticed your screen name on the repositioning board. I have done that repo for 5 years, but unfortunately, this year, I have been outvoted for another cruise.

 

Roland is a real blast, you will enjoy yourselves immensely.

 

I am not sure where you are staying, but there is a large store not to far from the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. We usually got a couple of bottles of wine to take on from there.

 

Google any interactive map, usually on your hotel website regarding the area, and it will tell you things near by
