We rented a small boat from Boathouse Boat Rentals in Simpson Bay and put putted in the Lagoon and docked in Marigot and went to the market and a bakery and we really had a great time. There are plenty of reviews for them online for you to check out if you are interested. From there its a short taxi ride to see the planes landing at Maho beach which is a very fun experience for kids IMO.

I have two very active boys ages 7 and 6. Looking for fun family activity in St. Maarten. Any good suggestions?

I would also suggest going to Maho beach to watch the planes land. I am certain your sons would enjoy that very much, as the planes are very low flying over the beach approaching the runway.

I also noticed you stated they are active. There is not much activites at the beach other than swimming and waiting for the planes. The beach itself is very small and has many rocks/boulders. The appeal of Maho beach "is" watching the planes land.
