Have you actually ever done this? I have - several times - and it's a 2km walk which takes about 20-25 minutes. A free shuttle bus will take you to the port building which is at Molo Garibaldi. Use this as your starting point if using Google maps and La Spezia Centrale as your end point. Really not sure where the above figures come from!

Yes, I have done this - only 2x from a cruise - all other trips were land/train trips. I used the figures from Google map but didn't use the port building as my starting point (used the pier).
