zoncom Posted December 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2016 I have found that to entice both repeat and first time World Cruisers all lines vary the ports greatly. One year no Europe or Caribbean, another a concentration on far East etc. A good way to save $ is to skip areas(segments) you have done many times at front or back end of WC.such as Caribbean .Looks like HAL really concentrates on a special large cruise area. Rare Scrapnana Posted December 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2016 For me, I would rather go to an area I have been to (even a number of times) than face a long-haul flight. Getting the right mix of areas sometimes works well for the cruise line and sometimes does not. I have seen some world cruises (not just segments) greatly reduced (even 6 months in advance) and others (such as HAL's 2018 WC) continue to increase in price.
