Day Tours in Havana?

Can anyone recommend day tours in Havana from a cruise ship, hopefully a company that will accept credit card payment? Which tours are most recommended? Any tips on how and whether to exchange currency? Thank you.

There are also the HOHO buses and the classic car tours.

Cuba is almost totally cash only.

The internet connections are not good, to process payment data.

A few classic car tours that work through an agency may take credit cards.

We have used a local company called Havanacar for a 3 hours tour in a classic convertible and a 3 hours old havana walking tour with a professional english speaking guide.

They accepted credit card payments through paypal and their Manager ( Stefano) was very prompt in responding us providing also many useful tips.

We used I Love Cuba Guided Photo Tours. We had a 2 hour walking tour in Old Havana. We then got into an air conditioned classic car for a tour of the city. Our guide spoke perfect English. They are a cash only company.

We are planning to do the free walking tour in Havana on first morning off ship. They have an English speaking guide. Don't know if I can post link but you can google it.

We strongly recommend FerTours, with whom we booked for a near full day walking and driving tour for our day in Havana, while on the Carnival Paradise. They have a nice web site, and the owner Fernando was easy to work with via email before the cruise. He confirmed our tour time, meeting place, and name of our guide, and also provided recommendations for lunch which he then reserved for us. Payment was by cash only in CUC, payable at the end of the tour. I don't think any US credit cards will work in Cuba.
