Duke Mazer Posted March 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) Odd usually I see Oasis/Allure docked at Port Everglades with the the Aft facing the camera. When it leaves it reverses then then turns. It's now docked Bow facing the camera so it will pull out. What about the gangways how are they getting on. I'm thinking of deck 5 where we got it in the opposite side was Guest services. Anyone embarked this way before? beachnative Posted March 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) We are on her now doing a B2B. Disembarkation is through deck 5 dining room doors if cabin is toward aft as ours is. Turnaround is well organized as usual with free wifi during process and until 1:00. Edited March 8, 2015 by beachnative

Rare LMaxwell Posted March 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2015 This is done for lifeboat maintenance reasons usually. There are multiple embarkation and disembarkation points that can be used based on necessity.
RCI Cruisers 004 Posted March 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 8, 2015 We've seen this done in the past so they can make use of the starboard side life boats. Nothing out of the ordinary .

The important thing is to remain calm. No doubt the crew can handle embarkation under such trying circumstances. They are highly trained professionals and can handle port-side passenger arrivals.
