Molde - Taxi or Bus to Varden?

We will be in Molde for one day in June and would like to go to the Varden viewpoint without hiking or having to book a shore excursion. Are there any buses that take you to the viewpoint? Or are there taxis available at the cruise port?

I'm hoping someone has the answer to your question. We would also like to take some kind of transportation to the top and hike down!

When in Molde, we were very adventurous and we walked up Varden and back down again. However, that was quite a hike. If I were to do it again, I would take a taxi to the peak and then walk down.

There were taxis and I think they would take you up to the peak. You probably have to ask the taxi to wait for you for the downward trip, or just take a slow hike down hill, which is quite easy.

I'm so excited! We'll look for a taxi to take us to Varden and then drop us at the Museum! So happy we can do this in our own and don't have to book an excursion. Thank you!
