My dad uses a scooter. in Nassau we hired a taxi and it took us on a great sight seeing tour and dropped us at Atlantis for a while (wasn't impressed but we only went as far as the casino we didn't pay to get in) then came back for us at the appointed time. When we asked at the excursion desk, we were told that the scooter would not be able to fit on any of Carnivals excursions on that whole route, so we did the rent a taxi thing for the day in each port.

I have been to Nassau several times and always on a scooter. I have never seen a vehicle with a lift for scooters. But, taxis are readily available at the end of the pier. You may need to break the scooter down so it fits into car trunk and tip the driver well for lifting it.
