Oh sorry! I thought you needed it for mapping on a GPS. I don't have the taxi info but I can look for you. I'm guessing there will be taxis right at the port.

No, thanks Melozone, the info you provided helped a lot with finding the distance to the HRC, the bit about taxis was a further question.:)

Is it possible to take a shuttle for a couple euros into town from the port and walk around and if you decided to hop on a bus and go to the Notre Dame Church?

Is it far from town?

Also anyone ever been to Cassis, that is our other option.

Last year we took the shuttle bus to the old port. There was a hop on hop off bus stop there, which took us up to the Notre Dame church amongst other places. We stayed in Cassis about forty years ago; I don't remember there being a huge amount to see there, but it was a very long time ago!

I meant to add that you might find Tom's Port Guide to Marseille useful. It can be downloaded here http://www.tomsportguides.com/Marseille-06-28-2013.pdf . In my own view there is enought to do in Marseille to spend a happy day there. Next time we are there, we are thinking of taking a boat to see Chateau d'If.

Are you sure this is still running? I can't find any reference to it on the Marseille Port's own website, where they just mention the number 35 bus.
