blueflower1968 Posted September 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2014 What is the best way to get around Bermuda, beaches, sightseeing, swizzle inn?
njhorseman Posted September 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2014 We rely solely on the public bus and ferry system. It's probably at least 20 years since we've taken a taxi. Of course the exact answer depends on where you're traveling from and to. If you want a guided tour, you might want to consider hiring a "blue flag" taxi driver...they're certified guides. If you do some reading on this board you'll find recommendations.
mapleleafvoyage Posted September 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2014 If you feel comfortable-- we did the scooter. The first day we did the buses and ferry, but hated waiting around.. so we rented a scooter. Elbow Beach scooter rental were awesome!!!! This was the most fun we have ever had! WE both squeezed onto 1 scooter, lol.. My dh has a motorcycle, so we are used to it.... When we go back to Bermuda, we are renting the scooter for the full 3 days we are there.. it was such a perk being able to park right in front of our ship.. so in essence, we had our own hop on hop off tour :D Bermuda is my favourite stop so far.... its clean, safe and very friendly! Travel Ranger Posted September 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Bermuda is such a great place for going off and taking a ride on your own steam, whenever you feel like it. If it is on a bike or you prefer a motorised scooter. It often beats taking a cab or waiting for a bus and you are free to do what you like.
