Walking From Fulton Garage to JW Marriott?

Would it be possible to walk from the Fulton Street garage to the JW Marriott? I know the distance is doable but I'm more worried about the safety. This would be daylight hours.

We have prepaid at Fulton Street garage for our one night at the JW, it was about $38 difference in parking fees and trying to figure out how we might get from the car back to our hotel.

Should I instead plan on a taxi or maybe even Uber?

It is a safe walk as we use Fulton St parking garage all the time. We have made the walk at all hours of the night and you should have a problem. You could walk up to Lee Circle and get on the St Charles line to Canal if you didn't want to walk. We leave all our cruise luggage in the car and carry to the hotel just what we will need so we do not have to carry a bunch of luggage with us.

I would walk in that area both day and night, just be as aware of your surroundings as anywhere else. NO is not a hotbed of crime in the tourist area's. A cab would only be a few bucks if your so inclined.
