Miami hotel late night flight

My daughter and I are flying into Miami, it will be after 11pm when we land. I am looking for a decent hotel that offers a shuttle from the airport. If possible one that also offers transportation to the Cruise port. We have never flown into Miami and I don't know the best and safest areas to stay.

A budget motel near MIA that meets your requirements and is often suggested by cruisers is the La Quinta East; the next door Embassy Suites MIA is another option with both airport and port shuttles. Better hotels in a better area near the airport will be found in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood - Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, etc.

Your other option is to stay downtown near the port; none of the hotels offer a shuttle - figure on $25+ for a taxi. Check out the Doubletree, Hyatt, Intercontinental, and in the Mary Brickell area either the Hampton Inn or Homewood suites. A taxi from downtown hotels to the port will run about $12+
