Canadian Cruiser98 Posted November 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Hello, Some friends and I are finally turning 18 this year, and one of the things we'd like to do is travel as a group. Having cruised quite a few times myself, my first thought was to suggest a cruise because of the ease of planning that a cruise offers. So, I'm looking at a 3 day Carnival Cruise leaving out of Miami. However, some of the people in our group do have a fairly limited budget. Do you have any tips for saving money, specifically in booking the cruises? Any annual sales to wait for, BOGOs, or ways of booking cabins together that reduces the price? We're not limited to any one cruise line, but would like the departure port to be on the East coast, so that the flight isn't too long or costly. And because I know it will come up: no, we are not a rowdy, loud college group. We are more of a group of quiet nerds :D. Seriously, everyone has high 90s in all subjects, and we're all extremely well behaved.
SarahMascara Posted November 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2016 You may want to check if you can cruise under the age of 21. Carnival requires anyone under 21 to be sailing with someone 21 or older. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We may have to wait a few more years to do something like this, and look into a land trip instead.
cb at sea Posted November 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2016 An "All Inclusive" in Mexico or Bahamas might be a better option until everyone is "of age"....it's like a cruise in that once you book, everything else is pretty much taken care of...food, drinks, and some activities.
