SIPPINTIME0413 Posted March 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Two couples that i know are sailing on the Pride in May and they booked extended balcony rooms beside each other. Can the balcony divider be taking out and if so is that something they need to call carnival about in advance and request or do you request that when you board? Thanks for you help. dodgetrucksrule Posted March 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Some can be opened. They can ask their cabin steward to open it for them.
Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted March 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Go to guest services and they put you on a list, and notify your cabin steward. They also have a list of which ones cannot be opened -however last cruise on Glory they stated ours could not as would open in front of our balcony door -until we looked at it and then came back down and said it does not open in front of our door) -they were wrong, however our little latch hook was broken (perhaps that is why it was on cannot be opened list. Our cabin steward opened it, proped a chair and said they'd fix it later. Well we temporarily did with a zip tie; Later saw they added a heavier zip tie.) Logically all balconies should swing open from front to back so they can clean the balconies. For wind wouldn't want the doors opening other way. Carnival_Brides Posted March 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2013 On our cruise in January one person from each cabin went to GS and they put us on the list. They'll send a letter that night and the maintenance person will open them Monday. There were only 23ish clips in January, so I'd make the request as soon as they board.
