arnettfam Posted May 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2013 We are a family of 6, ages 8-70 yrs, trying to decide which place is best! Would you recommend the Palm Court Gardens or the Marriott? OR should I take us all out to Cockleshell Beach?!
OntarioTraveller Posted June 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2013 We have been to PCG on a cruise stop last February. I would not recommend it for children at all. It is designed to be more of an adult place, not lots of places to sit if you get there much after opening. We found (for the older family members) there is almost no shade. The umbrellas in the pictures are not movable and not positioned to provide shade for the chairs until late in the afternoon. The day we went, there were a good number of young adults who we discovered were crew from the ship. I would not have wanted to have children there that day as the public displays of affection (both gay and straight) where quite in your face (it is not a big place!). That is just my experience. I would go for a beach experience instead.....
lucigo Posted June 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2013 Aww we were told they have a playground and kids were welcome. Our ship doesn't come in until noon so the price is much better for just a couple hours. Do you know if they have wifi?
OntarioTraveller Posted June 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2013 I did not see a playground but it may be there? Yes, there is WiFi. The person selling drinks will give you the password.
