buffkids Posted March 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2014 My husband and I are interested in trying zip lining in Roatan, and will most likely use Rony's to coordinate. He offers access to several, and provides a comparison chart, but I still have questions. I would like to zip over/through some of the jungle canopy, not just over open ground or a field. The Monkey Trail ziplines sound like it might be what we want, but a hand brake is required. Not having done this before, I don't know if hand braking would be difficult for first timers . We are in our 40s, in decent shape. Is there a different zipline expereince that would be better for us? Although perhaps a little contradictory, we'd like to experience a little bit of the natural surrounds as part of the tour. I will ask the same question of Rony's, but would like first-hand thoughts from any who have done these ziplines previously. thanks for any advice! zounds Posted March 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Check out the Pirates of the Carribean's website. I did their Extreme Extreme zip a few yrs. ago and loved it. No climbing, no hand brake and it's the highest, longest around. steve
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2014 South Shore Canopy is another good over the canopy zip line. Goes over some canyons so you're fairly high up but don't have to climb.
