Nana257 Posted April 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2014 We are cruising out of Seattle on Sept 7th. Since we have never been there, 4 of us decided to stay the week before. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a rental w/2 bedrooms 2 baths for that week? Should we stay downtown for a couple of days and then somewhere else? Thanks for any suggestions. Assateague Island Princes Posted April 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Try 'www.HomeAway.com' or 'www.cyberrentals.com.' I've always had great luck with both those sites. Lucky you spending a week in the Seattle area, it is so lovely and there is so much to do. Enjoy!
Nana257 Posted April 24, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Thank you so much. We will try those sites. I have heard so many good things about Seattle but living in Florida, it is about as far away as we can get and be in the US. :)

NEMMRRC Posted April 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Consider staying outside of town, like the San Juan Islands. We stayed in Anacortes and it was very quaint. You can take the ferry into/out of Seattle.
mapleleaves Posted April 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Consider staying outside of town, like the San Juan Islands. We stayed in Anacortes and it was very quaint. You can take the ferry into/out of Seattle. (There is no ferry route between Anacortes and Seattle) However Anacortes is a wonderful jump off point to explore the San Juan Islands. A really fun thing to do is rent bikes to take on board, then hop off and explore an island. ie bike to Lime Kiln Point on San Juan Island to watch for orcas. Anancortes also has great whale watching trips. And Sept is a great time for whale watching since the salmon are running. Maybe spend a few days downtown Seattle then a few days in Anacortes. You might want to look at some of the 'residence' inn type places in Seattle as they often have 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units. Another fun thing to do from Seattle .... take the Clipper to Victoria for the day or an overnight trip.
