Carnival Paradise Porthole stateroom

We have booked a porthole stateroom with Carnival (E1) on a 5 night western Caribbean itinerary. It is an early booking, thus cheaper. My hubby and I wanted to go this way for our first cruise in case the cruise experience wasn't for us. I have read here that some porthole staterooms have upper/lower berths instead of twins to be pushed together. Please say it ain't so!

We were on the Riviera Deck starboard side on the Paradise in October 2009 and we had the beds put together. We were the last cabin towards the back that had a porthole, I think the ones farther forward had the uppers/lowers.
