We are planning to use this company for a trip to Taormina when we arrive

on Carnival Breeze on Nov 4. Has anyone used them before?

Are there any special tips for going to Taormina rather than staying around Messina for the day.

We are also considering this company for a trip in June. How was your experience with them?

As the original posted just the one time, two years ago, and hasn't been active on Cruise Critic...not holding out hope you will get a reply.

We never used New Service in Taormina and decided to try the ships tour.

We loved Taormina but wished we had a bit more time there. Perhaps if we had booked a private tour that would have happened for us. The ships tour was a bit of a cattle drive, but we still enjoyed the Greek theatre and walking around in Taormina.

We used Sicily Life for a private tour to Taormina, Castemola, and Catania this past November. We also made a few other short stops in lesser-known areas. Everyone on the tour had a great time and we were all impressed with the tour guide and the service.

Thanks to all for your replies. Our group booked with Share a shore excursion in italy. We will be going in June. It was interesting to hear an impression of the ship's tour.

We are booked with Sicily Shore Tours in two weeks' time. Tendering into Giardino Naxos on Azamara. The tour is to Mt Etna, a Winery and Taormina. I will write a report when we get home.

Not wanting to pay ship prices for my family, looked around, read a few reviews and decided to take the jump and book a trip with this company. Couldn't have worked out better. The owner Christian picked us up at the agreed time & spent the day taking us to Etna, Taormina, and a stop on the beach front for some lovely Ice cream. Very professional service, great English language skills with a good sense of humour & most obviously in love with his homeland. Highly recommended.
