I am totally confused by what I have read on here and what I have found on internet searches. From my CC readings I assumed when you got off the ship your choices were to walk a little ways to the beaches or stay around the port for island made crafts. I found a site however, that talks about A Cruise Center and it talks about all of the typical port stores (Diamonds International) and there is a picture of a really nice pool area (a la resort). Am I looking at the same port?

When you get off the ship the beach is right there. The port area consists of a large area of shops and a margaritaville with a huge pool. The pool is free and you can order food and drinks. They are high priced but good. We spend time at the beach and at the pool. Some of the shops were pretty nice. We will be back there in January.

Lots to do right there at the port, or within easy walking distance. Like mentioned above, a port cruise center with a number of shops, both local and shops like DI. The Beach is right there. You can walk to the left (as you face the island from the ship) for the nicer area of beach, along with some fun little beach bars, water rentals, snorkel tours, etc. To the right is a rockier beach, but a little better for snorkeling and some like to walk a little farther for the conch graveyard.

There's also a little casino, a space capsule from a landing nearbye and things like that. Easy to spend the day right around the port. You can also do a little island tour, rent golf carts and tour your self and go to Cockburntown.

Small easy island to get around and have a nice fun day in the sun.
