englishlady Posted December 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2014 Hi, I understand the motorcoach trip from the Puerto Quetzal port to Antigua takes anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Does anyone who has done this excursion know if the motor coaches have restrooms? Thanks! Alma
LocoLoco1 Posted December 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2014 Alma, The 2 times we took the Port-to-Antigua bus in 2011 and 2014 it had a Toilet facility in the back, and it's certainly the ONLY way I would venture up to Volcanic Antigua. You will be unloaded at the front door of a Jade Museum/Shop with modern facilities. The walk to downtown Zocalo/ Market sites is about 5/Blks. slightly downhill with nice little local shops and restaurants along the way. One of our favorite little day-trips in Central America. barbados Posted December 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2014 Here's what the road looked like when it took three (3) hours to get back (!)
englishlady Posted December 20, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Locomotiveman, I was so relieved to read your response; I was seriously considering not going to Antigua, We're not going to be there until October next year and I was already stressing about the restroom situation on the bus! I have an anxiety issue and couldn't go the 90 minutes it takes each way ... and the traffic delays? No way! Thanks! Alma
