My daughter and I want to travel on board a ship from Cape Town to Italy on the adriatic side.

Are there any ships going in July /August?

Freight or mail ship taking passengers at a god price would b perfect.

My recommendation would be to speak with a travel specialist to see if they can help you.

I am not aware of any cruises that go directly from Cape Town to Italy. We have cruised twice to Cape Town as part of world cruises that eventually made it over to Italy but that was after stops in a variety of ports including India, and Middle East prior to making its way over to Europe.

Princess has a cruise, going the other way, look up Ocean Princess, it leaves from Civitavecia around Sept/Oct and ends in Capetown.

Oceania also has a cruise leaving from Istanbul to Capetown. We have just done the reverse - Capetown to Dover - on Princess and it was fantastic.

MSC Cruises has on March 7 and May 3 2011, Cape Town to Italy.

Princess has on April 12 2011 (Pacific Princess).
