I have never been on a European River cruise, but have been told that they are better than ocean cruising.

I have been looking at a Viking Cruise -8 day Rhine Getaway in March or April 2012. And have the following questions:

What will the weather be like in March or April?

Has anyone done a river cruise solo?

Advice on other Rhine River cruises---

What type of clothing would I need? dressy for dinner, jeans/sweaters?????

Any info would be appreciated.

ocean going cruising is a great way to holiday,dont dismiss it till you try it

Whether river cruises are better than ocean cruises is goingt o be strickly in the eyes of the beholder.
