nyllrap Posted June 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2017 We have never purchased trip insurance, and are very lucky to never had needed it on a trip. But now I am getting wary of traveling without it. We are 62 and 68, and have a cruise booked for September. We declined the insurance, have made final payment, and now I am reconsidering. I could of course contact the cruise agency I booked with. But may not want to go with their insurance. My question: Is it too late to get insurance since we have made final cruise payment? Since we live just a 90 min. drive from the cruise port, don't need to worry about airlines. I mostly just want coverage in case of medical issues. We can cover the little stuff ourselves. Thanks for any words of wisdom!

wannasail4ever Posted June 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2017 I bit the bullet and purchased a policy, but went through insuremytrip.com. Like you, we are in our 60's. My husband just went on medicare with BC/BS C+ . It does not cover out of the country. We are also driving, so I'm primarily interested in out of country health insurance. Any advice from your experience? Macy
