HANDICAP Help on Pier?

One lady with us uses a walker and it is a long walk from the ship through the shops to the buses. Can anyone please tell me if there are bicycle guys (ricksaws - like in Cozumel) or any kind of help on the pier as you get off the ship. THANK YOU!!!

i heard somewhere on here i believe that they have ppl who for around 10.00 will take you from the ship to avoid the long walk. I as well want to confirm that again. lol

** ok, there is a bus, do not know if any other option is out there other than that.

A couple of you may be back home after your cruise which included a stop at Progreso. Can you share what you learned about any pedicabs, etc. available for those with difficulty walking?

Has anyone seen any kind of pedicab in the town of Progreso. I know the shuttle buses take you from the end of the pier down the looooong pier to town. Just didn't know if there are any golf carts, pedicabs or such for those of us with difficulty walking.

All I saw were the shuttles. The pier is way out and it's accessed by a long causeway, way too long for walking or pedi-cabs.
