New Orleans - Taxi Company Question

When we finish our cruise, our flight out of New Orleans isn't until 6 pm. We would like to spend the afternoon at the Museum of Art in City Park.

I'm sure we wouldn't have a problem getting a cab to take us there as we disembark. But we are looking for the name/number of a cab company to call to pick us up from there and take us to the airport..

Any recommendations?

I'm not sure where the museum is located, but you should be able to hail a taxi from the street when you are ready to leave. Also, someone at the ticket counter should be able to call one for you.

Do you have a plan for storing your luggage?

The museum is inside the city park which made me think there aren't going to be taxis we can just get from the street.

We are planning to use "Advanced Check In" to transport our luggage to the airport.

If time isn't a problem, you can take the Canal Street streetcar. One of the routes turns onto Carrollton Avenue, and the end of the line is about a two-block walk from the museum. $1.25 per person, and a nice ride, but service can be slow on weekends.
