rzcats Posted April 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2016 We're going to Bermuda for probably the 14th time. Usually we docked in Hamilton and were able to hang out at the Hogpenny Pub until late hours, but now we're in Dockyard. We were thinking of taking the ferry over to Hamilton and getting a taxi back to Dockyard around 11:30 p.m. How feasible is that? Should we have any problems calling a taxi for that time? njhorseman Posted April 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2016 I wouldn't expect taxis to be hanging out at the front door waiting for passengers. I'm sure the pub would try to help you by calling a taxi dispatch company, but there's no guarantee on how long it would take for a taxi to become available. Taxi fare for 1 - 4 passengers Mon. - Sat. prior to midnight would be about $50 plus tip. After midnight and all day Sunday there's a 25% surcharge. Sometimes the drivers can be "selective" about how far they want to drive at night. Your best bet is to ask at the Hog Penny what they think.
