sideout53 Posted April 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2004 derf, we're starting out on Saturday the 10th. We'll be all matza'd out by then. Wondered the same thing tonight. Happy Passover
Andee Posted April 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2004 I love Passover. We had 18 here for Seder, and tomorrow I'll do my baking for the week. How can you keep Passover on a ship? I have to eat out once this week, and I'm already stressed about trying to find menu items without chometz. I'm hoping to find broiled steak or fish, a baked potato with butter and a salad with olive oil and lemon juice.
GottoCruise Posted April 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2004 There is usually a Rabbi on-board - and a Seder is (usually) planned -- also the dinning room will serve matzah at your table! We have been on a ship for a few Passover's - the last on the Regal last March/April - We had a Seder - with some of other faiths joining in (for the experience). todd-r Posted April 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2004 With so much food at a normal Seder I cannot imaging what one would be like on a cruise. Can you imagine the matre'd, "Only one serving? What, you don't like our gefilte fish?" Chag Sameach everyone! Up next - Pacific NorthWest Coastal! Mezzaluna Posted April 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Now that's an experience I'd love to have! As if I'm not stuffed enough at typical sederim.... Still, it would be lovely to share the holiday with people from so many different places! I'd love to swap Passover recipes and family customs. A sweet Pesach to all!
