Sonesta Great bay resort for a day

Hello! I am hoping to do a resort for the day to Sonesta Great Bay Resort.

Resort for a day has tickets. I called the resort directly and they said no reservations are needed.

Anyone have experience with this? Should I just go with no reservation?

there are MUCH nicer beaches in St. Martin than Great Bay - especially if you happen to come after a rain (they drain the salt pond into the bay) - take a taxi to Orient and rent a couple of chairs at one of the beach restaurants - we like KonTiki - they have beach service - the only reason you have to get up is to go to the bathroom....:-)

Taxis are plentiful - easy to find - cost controlled and highly regulated and reliable...

Great Bay does have some pollution concerns from time to time.

Re: all-inclusive, I posted this some years ago, and the concept is still pertinent. My post was regarding Sonesta Maho, not Great Bay, so the taxi fare would be a lot cheaper.

Orange Fever prices have gone up just a bit since the rebuilding on Orient.

I'll look into updating the post when I get a chance.
