How soon up until sailing can you add insurance?
,

It's in your own interests to take out insurance as soon as you book the cruise, otherwise you are not covered for cancellation.

At least take out the insurance before you pay the balance as it could be very costly if you are unable to take the cruise.

With most cruise companies you have to provide your insurance details when you book, or when completing your details on line.

Assuming you're UK based, insurance can be added at any time. However, be aware that your declaration of pre-existing conditions (if relevant) is based on on the day the insurance starts, not the day you booked the cruise.

FO will not usually issue your final cruise documents unless you have confirmed details of your insurance with them.

Also it is in your own best interests to insure early as payments made for your holiday before the date of your insurance are not usually covered.
