Dolphin swim

Can you swim with dolphins at costa maya port? I think i have read somewere

that it is where the ship docks and you do not need to go on an organised excursion.

Small pool in port. Turn left through the faux Maya gate and head around.

Since I don't do these type of things, I can't opine on the excursion quality, number of dolphins or conditions they are in.

If you're heading to Roatan there seem to be better places there, Anthony's Key Resort or Mahogany Bay (if docking there).

It's a sad sad place there in Costa Maya. The "pen" is super small and from the times I was nosy and just checking out the prices, it was outrageous. If you are going to Cozumel, you should check out Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab. Now that's a nice place to swim with the dolphins and a HUGE area.
