mollytheunsinkable Posted May 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Booked on the Regal Aloha 434 W/C accessible portside for Caribbean cruise this Winter. On the viewable deck plans it looks almost as if the cabin just forward of us has a balcony that angles out beyond the flush rail of our balcony. Will this permit guests on that next door forward balcony to see into our balcony? Will this protruding next door balcony make it difficult to bend our heads out over rail and look forward at the ship cutting through the sea as we cruise? An alternative offering is Aloha 302 more forward. Same size. Same bathroom modifications, deck plan shows a flush set of balconies up there. Pros and cons of moving? Thanks! SuiteTraveler Posted May 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2017 A 432 does have a balcony that angles forward and yes, if they are standing all the way at the rail and looking into the ship, they will be able to see into your balcony as well as those of the next 2 -3 cabins past yours. But usually most people don't do that and are not interested in looking into other people's balconies unless something very interesting is going on out there. ;) The forward angle will also block your forward view slightly, but then most people tend to look out from balconies and only forward when pulling into port - and often they are in the buffet at that point anyway. A302 is very conveniently located near the elevators and stairs which means more people will pass your cabin (not usually an issue on Princess.) The view aft will be somewhat blocked by A410's angled balcony. I don't think that's a problem though.
Kamloops50 Posted May 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2017 The obstruction may be lifeboats blocking you view directly down to the sea.
