Venice

Recommended Posts

Just been reading CC News and see that the court has thrown out the plans to reduce the size of ships going to Venice. Obviously there will be appeals but at the moment it will make a lot of people happy.:)

the appeals process will take years and the cruise lines association have said their members will not be scheduling large ships for Venice until the alternative channel to the port is ready.

Cruise ship itineries are planned years in advance so for 2016 and 2017 smaller ships will have been allocated. It is no small matter swapping ships over when you have to irritate some 1000 passengers in the process.
